ISRAEL’S NATION-STATE LAW
On July 19, Israel’s Knesset members passed a law called the Nation-State Law. Since then the controversy surrounding this piece of legislation has been all over the news. After hours of heated debate, a majority of the 120 members of Israel’s chief governing body passed the Nation-State Law that “establishes Israel as the historic home of the Jewish people” with a “complete and undivided” Jerusalem as its capital and Hebrew as its official language.” – Robert Nicholson
